Building Bridges

In the fall of 2016, I wrote an article for Coastal Virginia Magazine about the transgender community. Early in 2017 I followed up with a piece about heroin addicts. Now I'm working on a feature about the Muslim community.

It has only recently occurred to me that this is becoming a series that could be called 'Building Bridges.'

There is so much stereotyping and scapegoating on these days. It's an old story, but it seems more prevalent than ever. I just want to say, STOP! Open your eyes and ears, your minds and hearts, and listen to other people's stories.
